Sophie had the most amazing face to makeup, the inspiration behind this shoot was studio minimal with a neutral pallet, dried foraged flowers and copper accents.

I wanted the makeup to be more focused on the eye with muted tones. leaving the skin super fresh and minimal. No shimmer or sparkle pigments were used Only the sheerest of highlighters. This look was all about muted, earthy, smudgey vibes.

Base

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream was used to prepare the skin before foundation, this gives the skin a beautiful dewy sheen and it works beautifully paired with the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I envisaged a youthful dewy base with an elegant matte cut crease. To carry on the dewiness of this look after correcting a little blueness in Sophie’s under-eye I used the Nars creamy concealer, blending this in with a mini beauty blender.

I chose to apply a little Bobbi Brown Powder Pink Pot Rouge to the apples of the cheeks and then with a damp beauty blender I applied Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter to the cheekbones.

I finished the base with just a little dusting of my favourite Hourglass translucent powder over the T-Zone.

Eyes

I primed the eyelid with a Long Wear Cream Eye-Eye-Shaddow in shade Shore. This is a soft matte, nude cream shadow, Maybelline make a great alternative in Colour Ration 24hr Cream Shaddow

Then using Charlotte Tilbury Classic Pencil in Sophia I drew a soft line in the cut crease of the eye, then using a soft fluffy brush blended and softened the line blending well into the crease of the eye.

Then using Charlotte Tilbury kohl liner in Barberalla Brown I gently lined the eye with a strong feline flick, when I was happy with the shape using a small angled brush I added a matte deep brown over the line, this sets the kohl liner and gives the liner that smudgey, sultry look.

To intensify this look I applied a brown gel liner to the top water line of the eye.

Once the eyelashes were curled 12mm and 10mm individual lashes were applied before applying 2 coats of Benefit They’re Real black mascara .

Charlotte Tilbury kohl liner in Barberalla Brown was used under the eye, smudging close into the lash line, followed by a deep brown matte eyeshadow. Mascara was then added to the bottom lashes.

Charlotte Tilbury kohl liner in Eye Cheat was added to the bottom water line, this nude colour really ensures the whole eye “pops” and has that beautiful wide eyed appearance.

A very light Bobbi Brown matte grey beige eyeshadow in shade Cement was applied with a large fluffy eyeshadow brush to the whole eye area ensuring everything was blended together Seamlessly.

Eyebrows -Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift was used to shape and pencil in the eyebrow- I used shade Supermodel and finished with a little clear brow gel to add definition.

Cheeks

I defined Sophie’s amazing cheekbones with a medium bronzer you could either use Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze And Glow or Bobbi Brown do a great bronzer in shade Stonestreet

Once this was buffed in, I added a soft nude blush all over the cheek area, I used the Charlotte Tilbury First Love blusher , use a big fluffy blush to blend well. The blush and bronzer need to blend together seamlessly. I then used a pop of the Pillow Talk blusher on the apples of the cheeks to add definition.

Hourglass Strobe Light highlighter was used all over the high points on the face, cheekbones, bridge of the nose and the cupids bow.

Lips

The lips were lined with Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in the shade Pillow Talk.

The original Pillow Talk lipstick was applied over the liner, I applied 3 coats, blotting between each coat. This builds up the dimension in the lip and gives the lipstick longevity.

I hope you enjoy browsing this BEAUTIFUL shoot.
