Working as a hair and makeup artist is such an incredibly varied and fast paced career. I have such a passion for my work and teaching is an extension of my craft. Passing on the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over my career onto my students is sheer joy.
I have been working in the industry for over 13 years, starting after I graduated from Southampton Solent University with a 2:1 in BA Hair & Makeup Design. Teaching has been my passion for such a long time, and I have been fortunate to lecture both in a college and university setting.
I have been lucky to work in both a commercial & editorial setting as well as carving out a career in the luxury bridal sector. From applying my clients’ makeup on a luxury boat in the middle of Lake Como, to trimming England cricketer Jonny Bairstow’s beard 5 minutes before filming started, I can safely say my career has been exceptionally varied and gorgeously diverse.
From total beginner to advanced makeup artist, wherever you are in your makeup artistry career, I would love to share my knowledge and experience with you.
My teaching style offers hands-on, step-by-step tuition in a friendly and caring way, so you will leave feeling confident in your new approach to your makeup skills.
bRIDAL mAKEUP - bEGINNER - 2 dAYS
This course is designed for complete beginners, or those with very little makeup experience, who are looking to start building on their makeup skills to pursue a career as a bridal makeup artist.
On completion of this course, you can expect to feel confident in your approach to bridal makeup and have a good knowledge on how to go about starting up your business and marketing yourself.
bridal Makeup - aDVANCED - 2 days
This course is designed to help build upon your existing makeup skills. Together we will turbo-charge your skills and take them to the next level! This course will give you the confidence and an insight into how to create those on-trend, modern & red carpet inspired makeup looks.
This course is suitable for those who have had some professional makeup training previously.
Hollywood Waves in A day
This course will teach you how to achieve a flawless Hollywood wave for your clients. We will cover the use of extensions and how to create both a modern and more vintage wave.
This course is ideal for those with basic hair styling, to experienced stylists looking to enhance their skill set.
Bridal Makeup Intensive One Day course
This course is for you if you are looking to give your existing bridal makeup skills a “glow up”. At the point of booking, we will work together to work out where you would benefit from spending time, and create a bespoke course tailored to your specific needs.
