Destination Wedding Hair & Makeup On The Beautiful Island Of Mallorca | Real Wedding Alice & Will | Finca Comassema |

Alice initially asked me to travel to the beautiful island of Mallorca to help get her and her bridal party of 6 ready for her wedding. Working alongside the lovely Nina Gregory, we travelled to this stunning island. The venue was the most picturesque venue up in the mountains.

Skin Care

I mean look at that glow!! Starting with my ever faithful Tri Balm, I massaged this into the skin, really ensuring that the product gently exfoliated Alice’s skin. I love to take this product off with warm water and a flannel (where possible). It really wakes the skin up.

Using a La-Roche Posay toner, I saturate a cotton pad and, with firm pressure, I sweep the cotton pad over the face to take any leftover product off the face. It’s really important to ensure the skin is free from any leftover product as we do not want that sitting under the foundation.

Serum - I Apply Becca Skin Love Glow Elixir, this is lightweight and immediately sinks into the skin but is PACKED with hydrating properties. I use this on all my brides and it hydrates the skin so beautifully.

Lastly I applied Bobbi Brown Vitamin E Face Base. This is a wonderful moisturiser that sinks almost immediately, its amazing scent is also a bonus. Once all the skincare is applied I like to leave it to settle for 5 minutes before applying foundation.

Base

Alice wanted to keep her makeup really sheer with the emphasis on the eye. Alice doesn’t usually wear foundation so I suggested the new Chanel Les Beiges Eau De Teint, the consistency is so fine and leaves the most beautiful light coverage. I did suggest that it would be good to press a little of the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation into the T-Zone just to prolong the wear of the makeup in the heat.

I used Tarte Face Tape as the concealer to prevent too much product sliding around in the heat of the day.

Eyes

The main focus was on the eyes, using an Urban Decay primer to prime the eye. I then blended Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise in shade Jean into the socket. This gives the most beautiful shimmery base to the eye makeup. I then smudged a Charlotte Tilbury kohl liner Barberalla Brown into the lash line and gently blended this in with a rich chocolate brown shadow. I prefer to do my bridal liner like this, its much softer and really creates that sultry smudgy effect.

The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Pallette was used to enhance the eye, the soft warm shades suited Alice’s complexion beautifully.

Individual lashes in lengths 8mm 9mm at 10mm were used to create a beautiful fluttery lash.

Maxfactor Masterpiece Mascara in waterproof was used to coat the lashes.

Bridesmaid Hair

Cool & Individual to each Bridesmaid using Milk & Blush Extensions. Although the girls were wearing the same dress, Alice wanted their hair & makeup to be unique to them. The girls all requested different hairstyles which were so much fun to create.

The Ballet Bun With A French Plait

I blasted the hair with Fudge Salt spray spraying into the roots, blow-drying the hair in with a large barrel brush, shaping the fringe. I gently crimped the root of the crown area and set the hair in a large loose set.

To create the style the hair was sectioned into two sections, the first section was to create the French plait. I styled this with the Loreal Tecni Art Salt spray, I wanted the hair to have a messy beach texture. then fixing the plait with a clear elastic band, I started to backcomb the second section creating the hight.

Fixing the hair together I then swished the remaining hair into a rather undone bun. Padding was used to create that lovely round shape. Tigi Bed Head Masterpiece Spray was used to finish the hairstyle.

The Textured Pony Tail

I wanted volume for this hairstyle so I blow-dried fudge sea salt spray into the roots. By ensuring the hair was blow-dried first ensured that I hand that lovely floaty but beachy texture to the Hair.

I fitted a weft of extensions Using Milk & Blush at the Nape of the neck in the shade “surfs up” and then tonged all the hair with my GHD creative curl wand. I didn’t want the hair to uniformed so alternated the way I set the hair.

Once the hair was curled I blasted some dry shampoo at the root and a little through the ends to fluff the texture up. Starting from the crown I began to twist and fix with pins, then working in from the sides to create a volumised but twisty crown area.

Then gathering the remaining hair into a ponytail I fixed with 2 bands. then wrapping a little remaining hair around the bands. I then sprayed Loreal Tecni Art Salt Spray through the pony to create that beauty feel.

The Textured Up-Do

This hairstyle was all about the wave and beautiful movement of an updo that wasn’t to perfect at the same time. I used the GHD creative curl wand to create the lovely beachy wave and a little Redken spray wax, by using the wax it helps fight against the humidity. I styled and pinned as I went to give a more undone texture to this style.
