Luxe Mykonos Wedding At Soho Roc House: Bridal Hair & Makeup by The Destination Collective
Come behind the scenes with us for a weekend of sun-drenched glamour, sea views, and destination wedding hair & makeup perfection at the ultra-luxe Soho Roc House in Mykonos.
We were honoured to be booked as the glam team for three unforgettable events celebrating the gorgeous bride & groom, Katie and Will. Destination weddings are always an adventure – and this one? A true standout.
Event One: The White & Blue Party
The weekend kicked off with a White & Blue Welcome Party, where Katie and Will encouraged guests to wear all-white to reflect the classic Mykonos colour palette. It set the tone for the weekend: chic, laid-back, and filled with warmth.
For Katie’s look, we drew inspiration from a Margot Robbie red carpet moment – think radiant, bronzed skin and the ultimate sparkly eye. Her lids featured a champagne-gold sparkle designed to catch the light during golden hour. We paired it with classic hollywood waves to complement her baby blue Georgia Hardinge dress, and the final result was utterly sublime.
The Wedding Day: Glowing, Elevated Beauty – Luxury Hair And Makeup in Mykonos
Wedding day glam is where we shine – quite literally. With 12 beautiful women to style, we created looks that were long-wearing, luminous, and effortlessly elegant.
Mykonos is known for its heat and wind – so we adjusted our schedule and techniques to accommodate both. We extended hair timings to ensure maximum prep, setting, and secure styling that would last from ceremony to dance floor.
Katie’s Destination Wedding Hair & Makeup Look.
Katie’s hair was a sleek, modern chignon masterpiece, crafted using Milk & Blush extensions and a generous dose of Moroccanoil Smoothing Cream. Despite Mykonos’ famous winds, the bun held strong – from the clifftop vows to late-night dancing under the stars. It was chic, sculptural, and entirely fuss-free.
Her makeup was designed to enhance the softness of her natural features while providing enough depth to withstand the bright sunlight and photograph beautifully. Glowing skin, sculpted brows, delicate definition – all tailored to complement her stunning Emma Beaumont Atelier gown.
Pro Skin Prep: The Secret to Radiance.
We always say: exceptional makeup starts with exceptional skin prep. For Katie’s wedding day, our focus was hydration, sculpting, and creating a long-wearing, fresh base that would perform beautifully in the heat.
We began with a gentle double cleanse using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleanser, followed by sculpting and de-puffing with the Face Gym Pro Tool. This not only lifts the face but helps stimulate circulation for a naturally energised glow.
To layer in hydration, I misted the skin with Floragy’s Rose Bloom Toner, followed by Augustinus Bader’s under-eye masks, giving them time to work while I used the Face Gym Multi-Sculpt tool for lymphatic drainage. This step is one of my favourites – it really helps awaken the skin and smooth tension across the face.
Once everything was sculpted and de-puffed, I finished prep with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Sheet Mask – a product that delivers serious glow without overwhelming the skin.
This level of skin prep is non-negotiable. It makes all the difference not only in the longevity and finish of the makeup, but in how it wears throughout a long, hot day.

The Base: Radiant But Long Wearing
With skin prepped, I created Katie’s radiant makeup look using my trusted products below.
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Serum, Enriched Eye Base & Face Base – my go-to for a smooth, oil-free canvas.
Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (Shade 3) – used as a glowy primer to give luminosity without the sheen.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation (Shade 5 Warm) – silicone-based and truly budge-proof in heat and humidity.
Bobbi Brown Corrector + Charlotte Tilbury Concealer – to brighten and balance under the eyes.
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Cream Bronzer – for warmth and sculpting the face for a seamless bronzed glow.
Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlight – In shade Crystal Nebula a cream formula that adds light without shimmer.
Hourglass Veil - Translucent Powder & Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder - To set the finished look.

Eyes: Soft Definition with Impact
Katie’s eye look was built around soft, sculpted definition that would hold beautifully in natural daylight and translate effortlessly on camera—signature Jessica Hawkins Bridal style.
We started with the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Palette (Cool) to create shape and subtle depth. I then layered in warm peach tones using the By Terry Brightening CC Palette in Sunny Flash, which added a soft wash of colour that enhanced Katie’s natural eye tone without overpowering it.

To define the lash line, I used MAC Costa Riche—a warm, soft brown kohl that blends easily and brings gentle warmth to the look. We finished with Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Waterproof Mascara, and built up the lash line using individual lashes for a bespoke, fluttery finish.
The goal was a timeless eye look with just enough structure and softness—effortless, luminous, and long-wearing.
Cheeks & Lips: Soft Peach Tones
To complement the bronzed, glowing complexion, I used MAC Glow Play Blush in Grand—a sheer, peachy cream blush that melts seamlessly into the skin. I then layered a light dusting of Hourglass Ambient Blush in Sublime Flush to set and elevate the finish with a soft-focus glow.
Katie’s lip was a blend of warmth and definition. We used Lisa Eldridge sculpt and shade lip pencils in Warm 1 and Warm 2 to shape and line before applying Charlotte Tilbury’s Dancefloor Princess—a soft, warm-toned nude-pink—and topping with a Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace in shade Muse for subtle shine and hydration.
